While Pokemon has always been a successful, it’s now picked up a resurgence via this augmented reality game. Instead of just sitting on your phone playing the game, you have to physically leave your house to search for Pokemon around your neighborhood. And there are even offshoot businesses popping up around it such as a person offering to drive you around and feed you while you commence your search. But there have been a lot of dangers discovered with this form of gaming and its popularity. The largest danger is people being distracted staring at their phones while they’re out walking in traffic. It’s also being looked at as a security risk as the game gains access to your Google accounts, including mail, photos, documents, and calendars. And there have even been robberies reported with people targeting the houses of the people they know are out searching for Pokemon. If these dangers are going to pop up around Pokemon Go and other augmented reality games, is worth it? Is it worth taking a chance on being robbed and giving away access to everything Google-related? Is it worth the risk of having an accident?
